Youth Convention 2016
Our institution organised a two-day (January 24 & 25, 2016) residential Youth Convention Camp in our campus. Over 300 delegates from different districts of West Bengal and the present inmates of our Ashrama joined this convention. Dr. T.G.K. Murty, the renowned scientist of ISRO was present in the inaugural session along with Srimat Annapurnanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Home of Service, Varanasi and Srimat Swami Nilakanthanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Shimla. Srimat Swami Balabhadranandaji Maharaj, Assistant Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission graced one of the sessions by his eminent presence and speech. Among the other speakers there were Sri Swapan Bannerjee, retired teacher of R.K.M. Boys School, Purulia, Sri Birendra Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary, Akhil Bharat Vivekananda Yuba Mahamandal and Md. Babar Ali, the youth icon of India for being the youngest headmaster in the world. In both days’ evenings, cultural functions were arranged.
