A Brief report on Relief Work

The following relief works were conducted by Ramakrishna Mission Calcutta Students’ Home, with the help of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math during the year 2021

FLOOD RELIEF AT SABANG, PASCHIM MEDINIPUR:

 Most of the areas at Sabang block have been affected by the damage to the embankment of the Keleghai river. So we started surveying to the affected areas form 20th September and to continue these activities we stayed at Dasagram S S Sikshaniketan.  We distributed dry foods [Pulses: 2 Kg, Sugar: 1 Kg, Chola : 500 gm, Amul  Milk Powder : 200 gms, Turmeric Powder : 100 gm, Chilli Powder : 100 gm,  Soyabean: 400 gm, Soyabean oil :1 lit, Soap : 2 Pcs, Muri : 1 Kg, Saree - 1 Pc, Lungi - 1 Pc, Halogen Tablet : 60 Pcs ( per Family) ] among 5000 needy families of 26 villages from different distribution centres. We successfully completed the relief work on 1st October 2021.

Amphan Relief Work at Banashyam Nagar, South 24 Parganas:

Banashyam  Nagar Island  was flooded and severely damaged  by Amphan Cyclone 2020. We surveyed the area and distributed our previously stored relief items (Blanket : 2000 Pcs, Mosquito Net : 2000 Pcs, Saree : 2000 Pcs, Lungi : 2000 Pcs) among 2000 families of 7 Villages on 18th September 2021.

Amphan cyclone rehabilitation work at Nimpith

Amphan cyclone rehabilitation work at Nimpith is in progress. Neempith ashrama started the construction work of Multipurpose Relief Shelter cum Non-Formal Education Centre at Kaikhali on June, 2020 and the 2nd floor roof casting has already completed. Internal and external plaster work is going on. We have already paid them 75 lakhs for this project.

Distress Relief at Bamungachi, North 24 Parganas:

We distributed 100 sarees to the poor mothers of 9 villages in Barasat I no block on 6th October 2021.
