A Brief report on Relief Work
The following relief works were conducted by Ramakrishna Mission Calcutta Students’ Home, with the help of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math during the year 2024
FLOOD RELIEF AT AMTA BLOCK II, HOWRAH:
Due to heavy rainfall and collapse of the Mundeswari river bank, the Amta area was experienced a devastating flood situation . Hence, Our centre conducted survey and distributed relief materials in the flood-affected villages of Amta (Block-II), Howrah from 24th Sept, 2024 to 3rd Oct, 2024 . We distributed dry foods [Pulses: 500 gm, Sugar: 1 Kg, Potato : 2 kg, Turmeric Powder : 100 gm, Chilli Powder : 100 gm, Soyabean: 200 gm, Soyabean oil :1 lit, Muri : 500 gm, Salt : 1 Kg, Cholar Chatu : 500 gm] and Saree - 1 Pc, Lungi - 1 Pc, among 5200 needy families of 30 villages from different distribution centres.
FLOOD RELIEF AT BADURIA BLOCK, NORTH 24 PARGANAS:
We also have conducted a survey in Baduria Block, North 24 Pgs. from 11th Oct,2024 to 14th Oct,2024. As the survey revealed dire and dangerous situation of flood in this area, we have distributed relief items [Pulses: 500 gm, Sugar: 1 Kg, Turmeric Powder : 100 gm, Chilli Powder : 100 gm, Soyabean: 200 gm, Soyabean oil :1 lit, Muri : 500 gm, Salt : 1 Kg, Cholar Chatu : 500 gm] and Saree - 1 Pc, Lungi - 1 Pc among 2000 families of 21 Villages on 14th & 15th October, 2024.
