Inmates really look forward with anticipation for this day to come. Normally a day in the month of January is selected for organizing Picnic. Every arrangement is done and executed by the third year students under the guidance of monastic members. Picnic spot wears a festive appearance with the advent of picnic. Cooking materials, utensils – every necessary thing is sifted to the spot for this purpose. Students along with the cook-staffs participate in cooking. Though quite domestic in nature, a good number of ex-students and devotees come and relish the sumptuous items.

Games like carom, badminton etc. add the real zest of picnic. And students don’t miss the rare opportunity to display their break dance accompanied with music! That is why the day of picnic is the most important event the inmates really look forward to with anticipation.
